Ingredients

  • 300 g Glutinous rice
  • 200 g Black beans
  • 3 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • ⅜ tsp Salt
  • 100 ml Coconut milk (optional)
  • 40 g Peanuts (optional)

Method

  1. Soak the sticky rice and black beans separately for an hour, then drain.
  2. Simmer the black beans until nearly tender, 30 minutes, and drain.
  3. Toss the rice with the beans and a little salt and steam until glossy and tender, 25 minutes.
  4. Toast and crush the sesame seeds with the peanuts and scatter over to serve.
