- 200 g Brown rice
- 200 g Soybeans
- 100 g Burdock root
- 1 Carrot
- 1 tbsp Japanese soy sauce (koikuchi shoyu)
- 1 Kombu (dried kelp) (optional)
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional)
Method
- Soak the rice and soybeans for an hour, then drain.
- Julienne the burdock and carrot and rinse the burdock in water.
- Steam the rice, soybeans, burdock, and carrot with the kombu, soy, and water until tender, 35 minutes.
- Fluff, scatter with sesame, and serve.
