Ingredients

  • 400 g Firm tofu
  • 250 g Black beans
  • 3 Scallions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Neutral oil
  • 1 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sugar (optional)

Method

  1. Cube and pan-fry the tofu in the oil until golden, then set aside.
  2. Melt the sugar to a caramel, add the garlic, then the beans, soy, and a little water.
  3. Return the tofu and simmer until glazed, 8 minutes, then finish with pepper and scallions.
