Ingredients

Servings 1
  • 200 g Konjac noodles (shirataki)
  • 200 g White fish fillet
  • 120 g Fennel bulb
  • 8 g Dill
  • ½ Lemon
  • 1 tsp Garlic-infused olive oil
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper (optional)

Method

  1. Cut the fennel into thin wedges through the root so they hold together, and keep any fronds. Chop the dill.
  2. Cook the fennel in the garlic-infused oil over a medium flame for seven minutes, turning once, until the cut faces go translucent and take a little colour. Raw fennel is aniseed and hard; cooked this far it turns sweet.
  3. Sit the fish on the fennel, grind over the pepper, cover and leave it six minutes without turning, until it flakes at a gentle push.
  4. In a second bare pan, drain and rinse the konjac noodles then dry-fry them four minutes until they squeak and the pan goes dry.
  5. Fold the noodles into the fennel and its juices, break the fish over in large flakes, and finish with the dill, the fronds and a squeeze of lemon.
