  • 1 Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Dried chilies (optional)
  • 1 Bay leaves (optional)

Method

  1. Soak the dried favas overnight, then drain.
  2. Soften the diced onion and garlic in the olive oil with the paprika and chili, 5 minutes.
  3. Add the favas, bay, salt, and water and simmer until tender and thick, 55 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with bread.
