- 250 g Brown rice
- 150 g Black beans
- 150 g Romaine lettuce
- 12 Perilla leaves
- 150 g Cabbage
- 2 tbsp Doenjang
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil
- 2 Scallions (optional)
Method
- Cook the brown rice with the black beans until both are tender, about 25 minutes.
- Steam or blanch the cabbage leaves until pliable and separate the lettuce and perilla.
- Mix the doenjang with the grated garlic, sesame oil, and sliced scallions into a ssamjang dip.
- Serve the rice with the greens and ssamjang for wrapping at the table.
