  • 150 g Black beans
  • 150 g Romaine lettuce
  • 12 Perilla leaves
  • 150 g Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp Doenjang
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil
  • 2 Scallions (optional)

Method

  1. Cook the brown rice with the black beans until both are tender, about 25 minutes.
  2. Steam or blanch the cabbage leaves until pliable and separate the lettuce and perilla.
  3. Mix the doenjang with the grated garlic, sesame oil, and sliced scallions into a ssamjang dip.
  4. Serve the rice with the greens and ssamjang for wrapping at the table.
