Homecooked.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Homecooked app and website (the “Service”), operated by Homecooked (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Homecooked is a pantry-first cooking app: it helps you track what’s in your kitchen, discover recipes you can make, plan meals, build shopping lists, and follow guided cooking steps. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and data (see our Privacy Policy).

Subscriptions, free trial & billing

Homecooked offers a paid subscription (“Homecooked Pro”). New users may be offered a free trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price.
Web purchases are processed by our payment provider (Stripe, via RevenueCat). iOS purchases are processed by Apple and governed additionally by Apple’s terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings (web) or your App Store subscription settings (iOS); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change; we’ll give notice of changes that affect renewals.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, probe or breach our security, or disrupt the Service.
Scrape, copy, or resell the Service’s content (including recipes) except as expressly permitted.
Misuse AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you add (e.g. cook photos and notes). You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content back to you to operate the Service. You’re responsible for the content you add and confirm you have the right to add it.

Recipes & cooking — no guarantees

Recipe information, cook times, nutrition estimates, and ingredient substitutions are provided for convenience and may not be accurate or suitable for your dietary needs or allergies. You are responsible for safe food handling and for checking ingredients against your own allergies and dietary requirements. Homecooked is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice.

AI features (Sous Chef)

Where the Service includes AI features, responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use judgment before relying on them. See the Privacy Policy for how AI requests are handled.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homecooked will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
